Pink Parcel- August 2017 Review

Pink Parcel August 2017

About the box
Pink Parcel is a monthly box that sends you your period essentials (pads & tampons, or just one of either, depending on your preferences), as well as a pretty generous selection of cheery uppy stuff, like snacks, beauty items and lifestyle bits.

Price
Your first box is £6.99 and after that it is £10.50 a month (incl P&P)

What I got

SportFX Cool Down Primer + Recovery Gel

I've heard some about this brand on social media lately, but mostly it has been about their makeup brushes. This SportFX Cool Down Primer and Recovery Gel (full size, 30ml, £9.99) is a new one to me. The blue tint you see is actually just the packaging- when you pump it out it's a regular white primer colour. SportFX as a brand specialises on products for active women that will withstand sweat, heat and workouts. I'm not particularly into sport but I do get quite hot due to the medication I'm on so I am interested in this- it has a cooling effect, and it also soothes redness whilst priming skin for makeup.

Native Unearthed Deodorant Balm

Nooo, not another one! This Native Unearthed Deodorant Balm (sample size, approx 30ml, worth approx £3.49) has been in so many boxes. I think this is my third or fourth! For those of you who haven't read my previous reviews, this is an all natural paraben and aluminium free deodorant balm that you scoop out and apply to your underarms. It works fairly well, but if you're about to do something really strenuous you may find you still get slightly damp. The scent is lovely, which is my favourite thing about it.

Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish Queens Gardens

Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish Queens Gardens Swatch

Here's one I haven't seen in a while actually- Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish in 'Queens Gardens' (full size, 14ml, £15.00). This is a beautiful colour which I think you could probably pull off all year round- wear it on it's own or dress it up with a glitter effect top coat. This is a gel effect polish which unlike traditional gel polishes doesn't require curing/UV lights to finish, but is still very hard wearing and has the glossy, plump feature that everyone loves. Pink Parcel sent out various shades, so you may have got a different one in your box.

Pink Parcel Evoshave Handheld Razor

Pink Parcel Evoshave Handheld Razor

I had no idea what this was at first, I thought maybe it was some sort of stationery item (I'm silly). It's actually an Evoshave Handheld Razor (£4.99). These razors are made small on purpose, so that you hold it in a way that supposedly gives you more control and makes for a safer, better shave. It's also a pretty handy size for travelling. I'm not sure how I'll get on with this as I'm not known for my dexterity with small fiddly objects, but it looks fun.

Vitamasque Orange Fruit Slice Masks

These adorable fruity objects are the Vitamasque Fruit Slice Masks (full size, 8 'slices', £3.99). I absolutely love them, they're adorable and I think they're my favourite thing in the box. These can be put on your eyes, face and neck, have a real fruity scent from the fruit extracts in the formula, and have a soothing and hydrating effect. You will receive either the Kiwi or Orange version in your box. These would be great fresh out of the fridge on a hot day.

Phizz Rehydration Vitamins and Minerals

This seemed like a strange thing to include at first, but I think it goes with the exercise/get moving theme they have going on this month, with the SportFX primer, travel razor, etc. These are Phizz Rehydration Vitamins and Minerals (full size, 10 tablets, £4.99), made for rehydrating and replenishing your vitamin and mineral levels after exercise and activity. I think these would also be good on a hot day if you've spent too long in the sun and you're feeling wiped out, but obviously always follow the label and if you're feeling unwell you should seek medical advice. Definitely a good one to keep in the medicine cupboard.

Kusmi Tea BB Detox Teabag

Silvanas Nature Raspberry and White Chocolate Crowns

The foodie treats this month include a Kusmi Tea BB Detox Teabag, a company which has it's roots in Russia and the BB stands for 'Beauty Beverage'. The other item was the Silvana's Nature Raspberry & White Chocolate Crowns, which are less then six calories per little piece. They're sweet, crunchy and light, and also pretty cute!

Final thoughts
Pink Parcel is back on absolute top form this month- there's nothing in this box I won't want to try or keep, and I am as always astounded that they are only charging £10.50 a month. Don't forget, they include an incredibly generous selection of sanitary products for you in every box- you can choose from tampons, pads or a mix of both.

If you would like to sign up to Pink Parcel, you can find them here.
