Edie & Rona Stationery Box*- August 2017 Review

* I received this box free for the purpose of my honest, unbiased review.

Edie & Rona Monthly Stationery Box August 2017

About the box
Edie & Rona is one of my favourite small businesses for all things stationery and organisation. Each month you can choose whether to sign up, so no need to set up a recurring payment if that's not your sort of thing. Expect a selection of things like notebooks, greetings cards, stickers and other stationery bits. You can see the contents of July's box here.

Price
£15.00/month

What I got

Edie & Rona Monthly Stationery Box August 2017

This little parcel arrived in a white box with plenty of packaging to protect the contents inside. It was all wrapped up in white tissue paper, so it was like unwrapping a present. I think that may be part of the reason I love subscription boxes so much- monthly present unwrapping!

Rifle Paper Co Notebook Lively Floral

The first item I unpacked was this absolutely gorgeous Rifle Paper Co Notebook. This is a 6 x 8.5 inches size notebook with 64 lined pages and a lovely little floral motif on the top of each page. The inside covers are printed with a gold inked pattern. It really is an incredibly luxurious feeling notebook and I'll have to think hard about what I want to use it for as I don't want to mess it up with mere shopping lists! I couldn't find it sold individually on the Edie & Rona website, which is probably because it's quite new and you can only find it in this box at the moment, but I believe this is from the 'Lively Floral Range'.

I think the print inside looks like double ended pineapples, but it's probably actually flowers! I think I have pineapples on the brain at the moment!

Katie Loxton Thank You Card

Next up is this Katie Loxton Thank You Card. Those of you who follow my Instagram might have noticed I'm a fan of Katie Loxton pouches, so I am really thrilled to have unpacked this lovely card. It actually comes with a little gold Katie Loxton sticker, which I would use to seal the envelope- I don't know if that's what you're meant to do with it, but I imagine so. Inside is plain except for another 'thank you' written in gold ink.

Rifle Paper Co Lively Floral Pencils

More floral fun, these are the Rifle Paper Co Writing Pencils. I love that these were sent too, as they go perfectly with the notebook- they're actually from the same 'Lively Floral' range and the patterns on them are beautiful. They come ready sharpened, so you can start using them straight away. I'm thinking I need to use them in the pretty notebook, but like I said first I need to think of something good to write about! The pencils also have erasers on the end which is handy.

Katie Leamon Decorative Stickers

These are the Katie Leamon 12 Decorative Stickers. These are fairly luxurious as stickers go- printed on ivory laid paper, they feel quite premium and weighty. There are four of each design- an envelope, 'hello you', and a geometric design. These are another good choice for sealing envelopes on pen pal mail.

ArtBene Metal Clips

Finally, I unwrapped these sweet, dinky ArtBene Metal Clips. Essentially paperclips but way more fun, you can use these to clip documents together, save your page in a book or notebook, or for organisation when studying. I also think these would look really pretty in my flatlays when taking blog photos!

Final thoughts
I haven't tried many different stationery boxes but the Edie & Rona box pleasantly surprised me as it contained a proper variation of stationery rather than just paper/cardstock which is the downfall of some I feel. If you're a fan of beautiful stationery, love to write with pen and paper, sending snail mail and pretty notebooks, I think you will love this box.

*Update*

The August box is available now on the Edie & Rona website. The price is £15.00, and purchased separately the products would cost £26.50, so you save £11.50!

  1. What a lovely box, the products are gorgeous but also nice to know you're not just supporting big well known brands but smaller independent businesses <3

  2. This seems like a great box; I love the pineapple notebook! I will admit that the price tag does put me off a little bit though; there doesn't seem to be enough to be value for money :(

  3. I love stationery this looks so pretty but agree with Lydia not a lot for your dollar! But I think that's the downside to subscription boxes some months you get tonnes and others not so much x

  6. That notebook gave me all the heart eyes! I just love that sort of floral and it looks lovely on the inside, too. Isn't it nice when you can sign up for boxes when you want them, rather than getting one each month no matter how much you still haven't used from the last one?
