Mini Reviews- The Melt Crowd June 2017 & Monthly Tee Club June 2017

This post is two reviews squashed into one, mostly because the two subscriptions I'm reviewing probably wouldn't generate a huge wordcount so I thought I'd do a fun mini review roundup post! And I know how you all love my super high tech graphics I make for such occasions (bless you Canva). Here we go!

The Melt Crowd (from Flamingo Candles)- June 2017 Review

About the box
This is a monthly wax melt subscription brought to you by Flamingo Candles. They are super scented and the perfect size for popping in your wax burner. They base their scents around a theme every month, and send you an info card with all the scent names and details.

Price
£10/month, inc. P&P

What I got
This month the theme was Tropic Like It's Hot (heh). So my trusty pineapple and palm leaf cut outs got to come out for another photo, they're so lucky. You could smell the mix of scents before you even open the box- hopefully my postie is a fan of tropical scents!

Your first month with The Melt Crowd they send you a free tealight Melt Burner to get you going, so you can melt straight away. I won't try and describe all of the scents because I'm really bad at that and I think scent can be subjective anyway. but I will say my favourite is Raspberry Ripple Ice-Cream and my least favourite is Palm Tree (not really into any sort of tree scent to be honest). I'm also tickled by the idea of a Gin and Tonic melt!

This month was another great summery hit from The Melt Crowd. If you want to sign up, their link is here. Don't forget, as well as the free melt burner in your first month you get a monthly 20% discount code for the Flamingo Candles shop sent in every box to entice you to buy more of their creations.

Monthly Tee Club

About the box
Monthly Tee Club is a brand new subscription which has literally just launched this month! You tell them your likes and interests, and every month they send you one, two or four t-shirts in a handy letterbox friendly box. Most of the t-shirt they send are 100% cotton and preshrunk. They also give to good causes as part of their #Tee4aTeeProject.

Price
One t-shirt: £9.99/month, inc. P&P
Two t-shirts: £17.99/month, inc. P&P
Four t-shirts: £29.99/month, inc. P&P

What I got

I ordered a couple of sizes up as I can have trouble with t-shirts being smaller than they seem on the website but this arrived pretty big, which I actually love as I can wear them loose and casual, although I do think next time I'll size down a bit. The print on the front is really cute and funny, and they definitely chose correctly for me first time here! I'm looking forward to seeing what other people get on social media and seeing where this subscription goes- I really hope it does well as the people behind it seem very passionate and dedicated to this. Definitely a subscription if you are a t-shirt fiend.

If you want to sign up to the Monthly Tee Club, their link is here.

So, have any of you guys signed up to a clothing based subscription before? And what do you think of a gin and tonic melt- yay or nay? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. That Sharkasm tee is the best novelty tee I've seen in ages! I can't wait to see what you get in future boxes.

Some of my friends do Stitchfix, but I'm not fully convinced that they'll be able to pick out clothes I'd actually wear. My taste is a bit unusual and I'm not sure I'd be able to convey that on their survey. But a novelty-tee subscription sounds awesome!
