Subscription Box Wish List May 2017

The UK subscription box market has come a long way in the past few years- it's no longer just a Birchbox or Glossybox world. You can get a subscription for pretty much anything you want (even cake!) So, me being a subscription box fiend, I have a pretty extensive list of ones I want to try. I thought I'd do a little list for you guys to see what I'm really loving at the moment. I'm hoping Father Christmas (heavy hints) and the Birthday Fairy (extremely heavy hints) see my list and take pity on me.

So, let's get going- here's my May 2017 Top 5 I would like to try.

#1 Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box

This box has featured brands such as Too Faced, Tarte, Marc Jacobs, Urban Decay, and Nars. The items are pretty much always full sized, and there's usually a stunning lip product or eye palette. If you're wanting a box featuring only high end products, this is your holy grail.

Price: £35/month, inc. P&P

#2 The Pip Box

I've been trying to make as many products I buy as possible have a cruelty free guarantee, so boxes like The Vegan Kind Beauty box are brilliant. This one, The Pip Box, is another cruelty free/vegan offering ( you can choose between a cruelty free only box or a cruelty free and vegan friendly box) that seems to be really good value and feature some lesser known brands which I like as sometimes subscription boxes can get a bit samey, featuring the same old brands and products. Pip Box make a donation from every box sold to an animal charity it seems, which I really love. Definitely one to watch.

Price: £14.99/month, plus £3.35 P&P

#3 No Make No Life Box

This is a new Japanese beauty box on the market, and I am loving seeing unboxing posts so far as the products are so intriguing. Obviously they're not items you can usually buy in Boots or Superdrug on the high street so you're getting items that a really unique compared to other boxes. They send everything- skin, body, hair, makeup, and tools. You get 5-7 products every month, and they deliver worldwide. I'm really excited to see where this brand goes.

Price: $29.99/month (approx £23.01/month), incl. P&P

#4 TreatBox

I found this one really interesting when I first came across it on a fellow bloggers Instagram. They style themselves as sort of a grown up lucky dip. When I was a kid, my family used to find it kind of amusing how much I loved the Claire's Accessories lucky dip bags (I really did love those things!), so this box is pretty much targeted at people like me. I just love surprise presents! From the look of their website you could get things like homewares, paper goods, tea, sweets, and other bits and pieces.

Price: £12/month, inc. P&P

#5 Cat Lady Box

Now this is a box right up my street. Being a certified cat lady myself, I was so thrilled when I found this on Instagram (really, Instagram is dangerous when you're trying not to find things you want to buy!) If you choose the regular Cat Lady box you will get cat themed items for you, if you choose the CRAZY Cat Lady box you will get both cat themed items for you and some lil prezzies for your puss cat friend. Delightful! The only thing that has stopped me is the shipping fees to the UK. I think this is one to keep on the birthday/Christmas wishlist.

Price: $34.99-39.99/month (approx £26.85-30.69/month), plus $12.95 (approx £9.94) P&P

So, that's my round up for now. Have you got a unique subscription box you've come across that you're excited about? I'd love for you to share your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. This is so helpful! There are so many subscription boxes, I keep chopping and changing! I haven't heard of all of these either, I'll definitely be looking into them, I love the sound of the Look Incredible one!

  2. You're right about boxes getting "samey" especially if you get more than one of the same type. I've found it takes about 3 months to narrow down which box is most my style then I try (key word) to stick to just the one.

  3. That Look Incredible box looks RIGHT up my street, I'm weak for some of those brands! Also I'm a serious cat lady, I might have to see if my cat decides she likes anything! x

  4. Thanks for this post! I love subscription boxes but it's difficult for me to find boxes that ship outside of UK. Some of these could work for me!

  7. I had never heard of lucky dips until I became friends with someone from Wales, and now I wish it was more of a thing in the US! The Pip Box sounds amazing, and I'm also glad to see more going on in the cruelty-free/vegan makeup arena. But honestly, I'd probably go with No Make No Life, purely because I miss being able to buy Japanese goodies!

  8. Loving this post; I also have a subscription box addiction. I currently subscribe to Birchbox, Glossybox, Look Fantastic beauty box, and get the occasional Latest in Beauty haul. I've recently purchased the May Paper Haul box, which focuses on cute stationary products. I also just got the first ever Glitterbox, which launches next month; they are all about makeup so I'm super excited for that one! I love your ideas!! I've been contemplating trying out No Make No Life...one day for sure. Did you know you can build your own Treat Box? That way you aren't at all disappointed :) Also, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to get the Cat Lady box but lord it's so expensive with shipping :(

    1. I know I wanted to try it too but it'd be like £40. I like to include something in the list for international readers though. :) I need to try that Paper Haul box I keep seeing it on Instagram.
